Time Recursion

Maybe you’ve been wondering why there’s been no word from me for such a long time, or maybe you’ve been even glad about my silence. In any case, brace yourselves, ’cause I’m back! I’ve been busy, either working for various projects, and among other things also watching movies. One that caught my attention lately was the Watchmen movie.

Why, well, those of you who know me a bit better, or have read some of my earlier articles, will quickly make the connection. I’m a science fiction, fiction and action lover and I love good movies. And this one was awesome! Not just because of the story, which thankfully, hasn’t changed much from the comics, but more because of the way it was filmed. It’s in our nature to look after ourselves in the first place, to argue, and to be quite often unable to see, and to understand that sometimes, we have to work also for others, for our community, for the world. We give too much importance to our pride and our image of personal superiority towards others, and that, combined with high ambitions and intolerance for differences in beliefs, culture and decisions quickly lead to hostilities and wars.

All this is closely connected with the way we perceive the outer world, with how we interact and most importantly, with how we react, or better yet, with our emotions. (continue reading…)

Do you guys know what’s coming this summer to cinemas? Ice Age 3! Woohoo! I still remember when the first part came out in the year 2002. At that time Ice Age was a real breakthrough in the field of computer made movies. And more importantly, it featured a great situation comedy that wasn’t so common at that time, and which is actually the reason why I like it so much.
